Refund Policy

We sell a premium writing service with a narrow scope and a tight timeline, and we stand behind it. Here's exactly how refunds work on the Done-for-you NSF SBIR Project Pitch ($349).

The promise, in one paragraph

Before we deliver your first draft: if you want to cancel, we refund you in full. After we deliver your first draft: if it doesn't cover all four NSF sections in compliance with NSF's character limits and format, we'll rewrite it at no charge until it does — or refund you in full.

1. Cancellation before first draft

You may cancel your order at any time before we deliver your first draft. Just email contact@fundunlocked.com from the address on your order. We'll refund the full purchase price, net of any payment processor fees your bank charges back to us. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

2. "We didn't deliver what we promised" refund

If we deliver a first draft that does any of the following, you are entitled to either a free re-write or a full refund, at your option:

• Does not include all four NSF Project Pitch sections (Technology Innovation; Technical Objectives and Challenges; Market Opportunity; Company and Team).
• Exceeds NSF's current character limits for any section, after accounting for the guidance we provided in your intake.
• Contains fabricated technical claims not present in or inferable from the materials you provided.

Email us within 14 days of delivery to invoke this refund.

3. What isn't grounds for refund

To protect the integrity of the Service for everyone, the following are not grounds for refund:

• NSF's decision. An "not encouraged" response from NSF, a declined Phase I proposal, or any other NSF decision is not a refund trigger. NSF evaluates many factors outside the pitch itself, including program priorities and available budget.
• Subjective style preferences after delivery. If the first draft is complete, compliant, and on-brief, requests that rewrite the voice or restructure the entire narrative fall under the one included revision round, not a refund.
• Unresponsive intake. If you do not complete the intake or respond to clarifying questions within 30 days of payment, we consider the order fulfilled via draft based on available materials. If no materials are workable, we may issue a partial refund at our discretion.
• Third-party chargebacks. Filing a chargeback with your bank without first contacting us may result in forfeiture of other refund rights. Please always email us first.

4. How to request a refund

1. Email contact@fundunlocked.com from the address on your order.
2. Include your Stripe session ID or the subject line "Refund — [your company]".
3. Briefly describe which category of refund you're invoking.

We respond within one business day. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, funds appear within 5-10 business days.

5. Our working definition of "fair"

We try to be more generous than this policy requires whenever a reasonable person would say we should. If something is genuinely our fault, we make it right. If something is ambiguous, we tend to err on your side. If you have a legitimate concern that doesn't fit the language above, please email us and make your case — we've never had a client leave unhappy, and we'd like to keep it that way.
